Mr. Harunar Rashid Khan Monno, the Honourable Chairman of the Monno Group of Industries, established Monno Medical College and Hospital. It is a project of the Monno Welfare Foundation and is entirely non-profit. Professor Dr. Zahedul Karim Ahmad, a highly qualified and experienced teacher, is the college's current principal. It is one of the leading medical colleges in the country, as well as a world-renowned institute in terms of the quality of doctors who graduate from this Medical College. Monno Medical College began operations in 2011, and the college's fourth batch is currently enrolled.
The college has been approved by the Bangladesh government, is affiliated with the University of Dhaka, and is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC.
